Adult Site Against Child Pornography (ASACP)
In combating problems concerning child pornography, efforts from various community and government sectors need to be intensified. Collaboration with established and dependable civil society whose concerns also aimed at protecting the helpless victims should be strengthened.
One organization that shows incontestable support on the campaign against child pornography is the Adult Sites Against Child Pornography (ASACP). This is an internationally acclaimed organization established in 1996 committed to help the adult industry make a difference in the battle against child pornography. From the time it was recognized, ASACP has received countless cases concerning child pornography. On its partnership with the federal government, lots of cases which almost doubled since last year were given response. And from then on, the organization is now serving as marshal on the web, with their eyes always open and will always be ready report sites that violate federal laws relating to child pornography.
ASACP does not just act as marshals who reports suspected violators to the authorities. It also provides guidelines for all adult site operators that usually conform to the federal laws and here are the following:
1. There are countless illegal adult site operators operating right now, so make sure that you only view or join a professional adult site that is compliant with 18 U.S.C. 2257 or "All models must be at least 18 years old at the time of this exposure."
2. Avoid sites that you think are depicting minor models. It is better to avoid them early on.
3. Do not entertain sites/spam that denote children (i.e., Adolescent, Child, Child porn, Child sex, Children, Kiddie, Kiddie porn, Kiddie sex, Lolitas, Minor, Minors, Pedoland, Pedophile, Pedophilia, Pre-teen, Pre-teen porn, Pre-teen sex, Teen13-17, Underaged).
4. Always look for the ASACP Approved Member logo on a site. This means that this site is constantly monitored. Over 3,000 adult sites have proudly displayed the ASACP logo, taking a stand against child pornography.
5. Doing research regarding child pornography or using it as part of your report is considered illegal.
6. In the part of the surfers, always be vigilant. Be ready to report all suspect child pornography to concerned authorities, such as ASACP, the FBI, or your local authorities.
With these guidelines, there will be no reasons for us to have excuses of not being informed. Always keep these guidelines with you and hope you enjoy your tour at the web.
